Medical insurance
In accordance with regulation of Chinese Education Ministry, all foreign students shall purchase medical insurance during their study in China. The fees are specified as follows:
- For those above the age of 45, the fee is around RMB 1000 yuan per year.
- For those under the age of 45, the fee is around RMB 600 yuan per year.
If you study in Higher Education Mega Center (HEMC), it would be helpful with an all-purpose card. It costs RMB 100 yuan for purchase.
The card is an all-purpose rechargeable card with the function of identification, small-value electric wallet, Guangzhou bus and railway travel, which can be used in dining, traffic and recreation. The card is provided by the all-purpose card Company. Once you pay 100 yuan for the card, 70 yuan is at your disposal for use and 30 yuan is made for nominal fee, which is charged by the card company. In order to make it more convenient for you, our school has bought the cards from the company in advance. So if you want, you can buy it while registrating.
The bedding and other daily necessities are on your own responsibility.
