UNIQUENESS OF PROGRAMS

Program Objectives:
To nurture qualified and skilled talents who are well-versed in Chinese language and culture, who will have a good grasp of knowledge in international trade, management, and finance as well as the experience in operating and handling real-life projects, especially those pertaining to Chinese economy, society, and who understand the Chinese culture values, so as to meet the demands of the fast changing world economy.

International Faculty Group:
Most lecturers of the core & distinctive courses are fluent English-speaking lecturers recruited worldwide. All lecturers have practical experience in teaching and years of experience working in the industry. In addition, renowned scholars and practitioners will be invited to give lessons or lectures.

Chinese Characteristics:
CIP offers more than just programs which are commonly provided in other universities. Courses, such as Chinese language, culture, and ways to do business in China are introduced to increase the competitive advantages of our students.

Study in Sydney:
In order to graduate from the program, students will have to study in Raffles College of Design and Commerce (RCDC) in Sydney, Australia for one semester and have access to the culture, economy, and society of Australia, which adds to the unique experience of studying with CIP.

Beyond Graduation:
Students will be awarded a degree issued by DHU and a Certificate issued by RCDC upon completing the required credits and completing HSK 3 & BCT 3 levels.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
In order to nurture students mastering the practical skills, CIP has designed a variety of social and business activities for students. CIP also assists students in their career development through the Center of Professional Development (CPD).

Immersion Week:
One week of immersion week in every semester provides students with opportunities to be exposed to industry seminars, lectures given by professors and practitioners, business forums and competitions, field trips, case studies, and group business projects and presentations to further reinforce their business knowledge and practical skills.

Volunteering Activities:
Students can participate in various volunteering activities such as visits to middle schools, Old Folk's Home, Orphanages, School for the Blinds and Deaf, etc. Such activities will enable students to better understand the Chinese society, build up student's awareness for social responsibility, and strengthen their communication skills.

Career Counseling:
Students will have the opportunities to be engaged in industrial collaborative projects, visits to companies, interview techniques, resume instructions and review, and career consultation.

Internship:

With the help of CPD, students will be recommended to multinational companies for internship opportunities so as to build up their work experience in the last semester.

CPD acts as an important catalyst and platform for professional development for the talented students. By forging extensive strategic industry partnerships, CPD provides a seamless interface between students and the industry at all levels of their studies, and opens up a whole world of career opportunities for them.

Entry Requirements

IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (PBT) 500 and above or equivalent (An applicant whose native language is not English and/or a student who has been in a country or province where English is not the official language must submit a score of TOEFL or IELTS).

Application Materials

1. A photocopy of the applicant's passport;
2. Passport-size photo;
3. An official certificate of secondary or post-secondary educational credentials;
4. Academic record: a photocopy of secondary or post-secondary educational transcript;
5. Certificate of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (PBT) 500 and above or equivalent
6. Personal Statement in English
7. Original copy of English Recommendation letter from previous teachers (only for scholarship applicants)
Note: Transcripts of current high school results are required for submission at the time application is made. Complete transcripts will be required for submission after a student has graduated from high school. Any transcript, secondary or post-secondary educational credentials, or documentation issued in a language other than English or Chinese must be sent with an authenticated (notarized or certified) English or Chinese translation.
